What We've Been Up To Lately

It's been a challenge keeping up with my family blog - we've had some major connectivity issues courtesy of Mediacom, and serious time constraints thanks to both of us working from 7 until 5:30 and heading straight to rehearsal from work. My work has been more difficult this week, because Harrison was at Mom & Dad's on "Staycation", so I was short one very gifted student counselor.

We are all three exhausted out of our minds, but having a very enjoyable summer. Here is a slideshow of pictures taken during rehearsals for The Music Man. It is being performed in a very small theater in a very small town. It is the epitome of small town community theater, complete with the typical frustrations and technical limitations, but with some quite talented leading characters and nice enough cast members to make it an overall fun time. When I learned the entire staff and production team are volunteers (NOBODY is paid for their work at Starlighters - not even the directors) it made the few frustrating points and lack of professionalism pretty much non-issues.
